Getting Rid Of Blackheads
The key for getting rid of blackheads is exfoliation and facials. The good news is that you probably already have the perfect ingredients right in your own home. No need to go out and buy anything expensive and certainly no need to go to an expensive spa or dermatologist to help you out. And what’s even better is that of you don’t have the ingredients in your home, they cost about $10 all together and should last you for several weeks/months.

Now why is the key for getting rid of blackheads exfoliation and facials? Because you need to clear away the excess oil and dead skin that’s getting trapped in your pores, give the your skin some healthy nutrients so it can become healthier and more resistant to acne in general and a good facial will tighten your skin, make your pores smaller and helps expel any blackheads that you might currently have.
So the first ingredient (no surprises if you’ve read my site at all) is baking soda. Baking soda is hands down one of the best exfoliators for your skin and it costs about 99 cents for a box of it. Now we want to add a little more than just plain baking soda to help really exfoliate the dead skin from your face. So we’re going to add a little baking powder as well as some sea salt. Don’t worry about specific amounts, just make it mostly baking soda with some baking powder and sea salt mixed in and just mix with some water. This will exfoliate your skin incredibly well and the baking powder will help soften and smoothen your skin out. When applying this, make sure you massage it into your skin very gently. If you scrub it to hard, you’ll just irritate your skin and cause breakouts and the like.
Now you can leave this on until it dries if you wish; it will tighten your skin and soak up excess oils if you do so. But I recommend one of two masks to really help tighten your skin as well as shrink down your pores to really help with getting rid of blackheads. They really only vary slightly with regards to their main ingredient. So you choose either an egg white mask or a yogurt mask. Or you can do both and mix it up every day if you want to.
Either mask works great for getting rid of blackheads for a few reasons. Egg whites have a lot of vitamins that are great for your skin and when this mask dries on your face, it becomes incredibly tight, reduces the size of your pores and makes your skin feel very smooth. A yogurt mask works in a similar fashion for slightly different reasons. My opinion is the egg white mask is slightly stronger for blackhead control, however the yogurt mask is good if you have scars as it helps reduce the appearance of them.
In either case, either mask is very effective and you should both a shot to see how well they work for you. The only other thing to add is a squeeze of lemon into both to help reduce inflammation as well as clear out pores. The acidity also helps bring your pH balance back to normal after the use of baking soda on your face.
Getting rid of blackheads can be a bit of a hassle when you first start, but by following a routine like this, you ensure that you actually start getting rid of blackheads at the root which will keep them away for longer periods of time as long as you follow the routine. The only problem is that acne is a problem that begins inside of the body so the only permanent way for getting rid of blackheads for good is to take care of the real problems.
